We are Back! Hopefully, anyway.

Well, we're back. I think, anyway. The Girl's computer is finally fixed, so maybe more blogging will be happening. It seems like lots of things have happened since I last blogged. The Girl is working away. She has not one, but two jobs! The first is in a retail, gift-shop type of place and the second is at a place that has lots and lots of files that have to be sorted by someone paid very little money.

We have not had any fosters at all since October or November. But today the humans brought back puppies!! (!!) The nerve! I can't stand dogs, much less puppies. They are kinda cute, though. Here's a picture of one. (You can see the other one in the back of the crate.)

They are keeping them barricaded in the kitchen and it's a good thing, too, because I can now see why people frequently name their puppies "Puddles." No joke. Their real names are Peyton and Archie, a girl and a boy, respectively. (Peyton is the brown one, Archie is the black one.)

They're already saying that it's only going to be eight weeks. I hope I can handle it.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Oh boy.

Here it is nearly January and I haven't posted in who knows how long. I must have dozed off somewhere or something. How was everyone's Christmas? Ours was great! We got Sheba wet cat food and everything. Sheba is good. Mmmm-hmmmm.

The Girl got a job, so blogging has gone down the tubes. Her schedule is completely messed up. Once she gets a moment to breathe again, she'll work it out, I'm sure.

Brrrr...

It is really, really cold here. I think I forgot to add one thing to my thankful list: space heaters. The humans have a couple of those things going and they are so nice. Figment (who is still doing great, by the way) likes to lie in front of them, too. In fact, she lies next to them more than I do! Nammie likes to snuggle with the Little One on the couch and Stewie is often found on a heating blanket.

I'm curious. If it's cold where you live, what are you and your humans doing to stay warm?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Be sure to give your humans extra purrs so they know how thankful you are that they adopted you. At least, I'm going to let Figment and Stewie take care of that. I'm one of the Senior Cats around here and I can delegate.

I will just post thirteen things that I am thankful for.

  1. I am thankful for wet cat food in the morning.
  2. I am thankful for full bowls of dry kibble.
  3. I am thankful for indoor and outdoor access whenever I want.
  4. I am thankful for hidey holes.
  5. I am thankful for mice.
  6. I am thankful for plush blankets that I can knead.
  7. I am thankful for bloggers and the Cat Blogosphere.
  8. I am thankful for Temptations!
  9. I am thankful for Nammie who keeps his distance.
  10. I am thankful for the comb because it is simply wonderful.
  11. I am thankful for birds.
  12. I am thankful for the back step that I can sit on and run inside at a moment's notice.
  13. I am thankful for my family who loves me despite all my idiosyncrasies.

Wacky Wednesday

The title of this post should probably be "Wrong Wednesday" because the picture you are about to see is extremely wrong. Totally and unequivocally wrong.

Figment is sleeping on the Girl's bed! We all know that it is really my bed and just because I don't want to use it at the moment doesn't mean that Figment can just take it over.

Photo Hunters: Classic

Here I am in my classic Audrey Hepburn look. Or was it Grace Kelly? I cannot decide.

I absolutely love these sunglasses! I especially love them when I am trying to nap in the sun and the sunglasses keep the glare out of my eyes. Or the camera flash, in this case.

Funny Frisky Figment Friday

All by herself, Figment crawled into a rolled-up piece of carpeting and made herself at home. And gnawed on/played with a ribbon from a birthday.

I would never stoop to playing in a rug.
